Wordle Leaderboard
The JoyWordle leaderboard ranks the top 100 players by the points they earn on the shared daily puzzle. It is free to join, there is nothing to install, and you can play under a nickname or a verified Google name.
How points work
Each day you solve the daily Wordle, you earn points according to how few guesses it took:
- Solved in 1 guess — 6 points
- 2 guesses — 5 points · 3 guesses — 4 points
- 4 guesses — 3 points · 5 guesses — 2 points
- 6 guesses — 1 point
Points accumulate, so steady daily play beats the occasional lucky one-guess win. When two players are level on points, the longer best streak ranks higher.
Two boards: all-time and today
The all-time board rewards the long game — total points built up over weeks of playing. The today board resets every day and ranks purely by how few guesses you needed on that day's word, so a newcomer can top it on their very first morning. If you have just joined, today's board is the one to aim at.
Only the daily 5-letter word counts
To keep the ranking fair, only the shared daily five-letter puzzle earns points. Unlimited rounds, shorter words and the multi-board games are excellent practice, but they do not affect your position — otherwise whoever simply played the most would win.
Joining, and the verified badge
Pick a display name and you are on the board immediately. You can also sign in with Google, which puts a green check beside your name: it confirms the name is genuinely yours, stops anyone else claiming it, and lets your score follow you from phone to laptop. Signing in is entirely optional — our privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored.
Fair play
The board exists for fun and bragging rights, so please play it straight. If you want a higher score, the honest route is to get better: the solver is great for reviewing a finished puzzle, and our starting words and how to win guides cover the strategy.
